Fairy Tale Theater Presents "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood' in Bethel July 8 at 11 AM
Enjoy theater by children for children with Fairy Tale Theater's "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood" on July 8 at 11 AM in Bethel

Danbury, Conn. – Musicals at Richter (MAR) continues its 19th season of Fairy Tale Theater, a play series by and for young people, with "The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood" on Saturday, July 1 at Workspace Education in Bethel. The 2017 shows also include “The Dancing Princesses” and “The Musicians of Brementown” (July 15); and “The Jungle Book” (July 22).
Performed by an ensemble of young area actors under the direction of veteran educator and performer Elyse Jasensky of Danbury, these hour-long, interactive adaptations of classic tales include plenty of audience participation, a show-related craft activity, birthday recognitions and a visit with Mother Goose (played by Jasensky). In the case of inclement weather, the performance will be held inside the Workspace facility.
This year’s Fairy Tale Theater student company includes Jacquelynn Matchen, Rachelle Matchen and Sammy Lopata (Bethel); Nicole DeMotte, Chloe Djilani, Amaris Guerra, Tia Mahon and Curtis Rodriguez (Danbury); Michael Elston (Newtown); Taylor Hunt and Evan Smolin (Ridgefield); Cady and Madeline Galgano (North Salem, NY).

Grounds at Workspace Education, located at 16 Trowbridge Drive in Bethel (look for the big red barn), open at 10:30 a.m. for the craft activity, with the show at 11 a.m. Bring blankets or chairs for seating on the lawn along with sunscreen; the performance will move indoors in the case of inclement weather.
