Girl Scout to Dedicate Lending Library After Late Bethel Teacher

BETHEL, CT — A Girl Scout will dedicate a lending library in her late teacher’s honor, the News Times is reporting.

Laurel Stejskal, an ambassador-level scout in Bethel Troop 50006, created the library, a replica of the Plumtrees Schoolhouse, as part of her Gold Award project. The display will be dedicated during a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on the front lawn of the municipal center.

The display, called the Liz Teed “Read” Lending Library, is named after Liz Teed, Stejskal’s fourth-grade reading teacher at Johnson Elementary School.
