Join the Bethel Public Library, 189 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel for a series of events that will take you songs and stories, both past and present.

Beginning on Thursday, July 6 th at 6:30pm and for the next three consecutive Thursday evenings at the same time, the Bethel Public Library will present the above-mentioned programs that will delight, inform, and educate you. We begin on Thursday, July 6 th with the “Year of the Kimono” where Robyn Mortiboys will explain the cultural and historical significance of the Japanese kimono, in an interactive presentation. This will be followed on July 13 th , with “Songs and Stories” with local favorite Lenny Levine as he weaves stories and songs from the past to the present. On July 20 th , in honor of the Declaration of Independence, we welcome Eric Chandler, who will discuss, “Women in the American Revolution: Putting the ‘Her’ in Heroics”. And, at the end of the month on July 27 th , Whitney Lee will talk on “The
Overall Benefits of Travel”, with an emphasis on health, budgeting for travel, and traveling with children.
