Kids Can Experience Colonial Times at Plumtrees Schoolhouse

The Bethel Historical Society is presenting a summer camp set in the 18th century.

The Bethel Historical Society will give children the opportunity to experience life during Colonial times at their Colonial Kids Summer Camp. The camp runs Monday, August 17 through Friday August 21, 2015 at the Plumtrees Schoolhouse.

Children will experience life in the 1700s by doing crafts, playing games, bookbinding, making butter and visiting Plumtrees School House to learn what school was like. Children are encouraged to dress for Colonial times. Snacks and supplies are included in fees but children must bring a bagged lunch.

The cost is $150 for non-members or $135 for members. Camp is geared towards kids ages 6 and up. Space is limited and paid reservations are required by August 1, 2015. Camp runs 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. each day
at the Plumtrees School House on the corner of Taylor Road and Plumtrees Road in Bethel.

Call Mary Ferri at (203) 730-2726 for reservations/information.
