Latest Bethel Coronavirus Update: 118 Active Cases
Here are the latest, local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Bethel.
BETHEL, CT — The Connecticut Department of Public Health has confirmed there are 118 cases of the new coronavirus in the Town as of Thursday.
The Tax Sale scheduled for April 29 has been suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak. It will be rescheduled at a later date.
The total number of confirmed positive coronavirus cases in Connecticut is now at 15,884, and 971 deaths have been reported, along with 1,929 hospitalizations currently, according to Gov. Ned Lamont on Thursday. Over the past 24 hours 103 new deaths were reported, 1,129 new positive cases and an additional 18 hospitalizations.

Lamont called the death totals "so disheartening."
He said new hospital admissions in Fairfield County is down 10 percent despite a large increase at Bridgeport Hospital. New Haven County has seen a 35 percent decline in new hospital admissions but there is an increase of 30 percent new hospital admissions in Hartford.
