At 11:15 a.m. Thursday, the Bethel Police were called to Chestnut Ridge Road to investigate a motor vehicle accident. According to police reports, upon arrival driver Flavio De Souza, 31 of Highland Avenue in Danbury, "denied any involvement" in the accident. A investigation later determined that he was in fact involved in the incident and didn't have a drivers license.
De Souza was charged with interfering with an officer, operation without a license and improper parking. He was released on $500 bond and is due in court on July 12.
