In short, “arts mean business!”
The warm weather is upon us and you may be considering a pool! Inground pools, above ground pools, and decks require a permit from the town. Check out our online portal before any home project: https://www.citysquared.com/#/app/BethelTownCT/landing. By the way, our Bethel based pool gurus, FJV Construction, L&J Pools and Steck’s, all have great inground pool options. If there are other Bethel based pool businesses, please let us know!

A bill, HB-5324, has been proposed in Hartford to create a category of “secondary traffic violations” and to prohibit police officers from stopping vehicles for those violations. Secondary violations include vehicles with: tinted windows, broken side or rearview mirrors, one broken headlight, no tail lights or reflectors, a license plate that is not illuminated at night, and expired registrations less than 60 days. The law would also prohibit officers stopping a vehicle with an obstructed windshield if the obstruction is not “substantial.” As you can imagine, the bill is controversial. To read any bill, go to www.cga.ct.gov and type in the bill number in the search box at the bottom of the page. Check out the public hearing testimony to learn more.
