Obituary: Edward Robinson, 83, Former Bethel Deputy Fire Marshal
He served in the Korean War and was a member of the Joseph Tarrant Post #100 of the American Legion.

BETHEL, CT — Edward Walter Robinson, age 83, of Bethel, died Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at home with his family at his side. He was the husband of Barbara (Hunt) Robinson.
He was born in Norwalk to Edward J. and Estelle (Whitlock) Robinson. He was in the police force in Norwalk for 2 years, then in 1969 moved to Bethel and went onto the Police Force in there, serving 29 years before retiring. He was also the part-time Deputy Fire Marshall for many years in Bethel. He served in the Korean War and was a member of the Joseph Tarrant Post #100 of the American Legion.

In addition to his wife Barbara of 59 years, he is survived by his 4 children: Edward F. Robinson, Richard Robinson (Kim), Kindra Robinson King (Alex) and Douglas J. Robinson (Amy); 5 grandchildren: Sophie & Ben Robinson, Junelise & Piper Robinson, and Lillian King. He is also survived by a sister: Julie Treadwell; a step-brother: John Goodwin and nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours or services per Ed’s wishes. The Bethel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
