OPINION: Frustrated Bethel Resident Wants Answers on Walnut Hill, Hoyt Road Project
"Politicians certainly have a very short memory as to how they got into office," a Bethel resident says regarding the unfinished project.

A Letter to the Editor By J. Rick Cipot:
“I’m writing regarding the Walnut Hill-Hoyt Road project. It’s an extremely large project which was supposed to have already been started and completed by December first of this year, which will not now start till next year.
One of the reasons for its delay is the impact it will have on our property and the value of said property not to mention that the Town of Bethel believes they own a third of my front yard.
I have included the First Selectman in all of my emails in connection with this project and have even written directly to him via a mailed letter with absolutely no reply. I have been lied to by town council and threatened possible court actions against us. All this and not once has our Selectman come to support a town resident. Politicians certainly have a very short memory as to how they got into office. Elected town officials should be accountable to the people who elected them to that office.”
