Opinion: Stranded Driver Thanks Bethel Police Officers for Helping

Stranded driver thanks Bethel Police Officer LaJole and Sgt. Rost for going above and beyond to help him.

A letter to the editor from Lew Wirth, Westport, Conn.

“On Tuesday night at 9:30 p.m. I was traveling home to Westport from Newtown, when I had a major breakdown. My trailer broke off my truck. Officer LaJole and Sgt. Rost came to my rescue. They hooked up my trailer to a patrol car and towed it off the main road into a school parking lot to remove it from traffic. They were ABOVE friendly and very helpful in solving my problem. The people of Bethel are very lucky to have both of these public servants on their police force. I personally thank them.”
