Owner of Bill's Haircutters William Arndt, 65

William G. Arndt, 65, of Bethel, husband of 27 years to Anna (Hopkins) Arndt died Monday, May 20 at Danbury Hospital. He was born on Aug. 11, 1947 in Danbury, son of the late George and Ann (Donato) Arndt.

Bill was a barber and owned and operated Bill's Haircutter's in Ridgefield for 20 years. Prior to owning the barbershop he worked in various departments at Danbury Hospital. Bill enjoyed golf and he was very generous, kind and caring. He loved to help the under privileged.

In addition to his wife, Anna, Bill will be missed by his brother, Richard Arndt and his wife Marilyn of New York; three nephews, Brian Arndt and his wife Christine of Virginia, Jason Arndt and his wife Nicole of New York and Richard Jameson of Virginia; his niece, Kim Marshall of Ridgefield; his mother-in-law, Joan Hopkins of Bethel; two sisters-in-law, Mercedes Needham of England and Sarah Genero of Bethel.

Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22 at Sacred Heart of Jesus, 12 Cottage St., Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury.
