• New Milford approves church boardwalk project to help Sherman girl earn coveted Eagle Scout rank (stamfordadvocate.com) — A Bethel-based church is backing an Eagle Scout project to build a simple wooden boardwalk on a muddy trail behind its New Milford campus, improving access for youth groups and members. The Sherman teen leading the work is racing to finish before her 18th birthday, with town wetlands officials giving the environmentally friendly design an easy approval.
   

• 2 juveniles arrested after stolen vehicle pursuit in Greenwich (newportdispatch.com) — A vehicle stolen from Bethel was involved in a late-night police pursuit in Greenwich, where two juveniles were arrested after crashing a second stolen car and trying to flee on foot. Police linked the incident to other thefts in Newtown and are urging Bethel-area residents to lock vehicles, remove keys and keep valuables out of sight.
