PD: Bethel Man Arrested for Oxycodone Pills, Marijuana

Police seized oxycodone pills, marijuana and other items in Newtown.

A Bethel man was arrested for possession of narcotics and other charges after police allegedly found oxycodone pills in his vehicle.

Police stopped a vehicle on Sugar Street Nov. 18 for a motor vehicle violation. An officer smelled marijuana and searched the vehicle. About .9 ounces of marijuana, 13 oxycodone pills, a scale and other drug paraphernalia was seized.

The 18-year-old was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and failure to have brake lamps.
