Police Blotter: Larceny and Damage to Property

The following information was supplied by the Bethel police department.

On March 8, Bethel police charged Andrew Dwyer, Harwington, CT, with larceny in the third degree.

An investigation began in January 2011 when Dwyer was accused of stealing items from a Bethel home where he was working for a contractor. Dwyer has now been charged with stealing those items from the home.

After learning there was a warrant for his arrest, Dwyer turned himself in at the Bethel Police Department and was later released with a promise to appear at Danbury Superior Court on March 20, 2012.

On March 8, at around 9:00 a.m, Joseph Peters, 54, and his wife Lisa Peters, 47, were charged with Criminal Damage to a Landlord's Property. The warrants stemmed from an incident that occurred in 2011, originally investigated by Ofc. Broad, involving a previous residence of the Peters.

 The Peters had been pulled over for a routine motor vehicle stop. Officer Burns of the Bethel Police Department also charged Joseph Peters with driving under a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and not having insurance.

 The couple were arraigned to answer the charges.
