Police Make Two Arrests on Midway Drive Over the Weekend

Incidents occurred just after noon on Friday and early Sunday morning respectively.

Police charge man with possession of a narcotic, burglary, larceny
Early Sunday morning at 4:50 a.m., the Bethel Police were called to a private residence on Midway Drive for an unwanted person at the home. The person left prior to police arrival and was identified as Patrick Stavola III, 24 of Oven Rock Road in Bethel. 

Stavola was later located on Route 58 and was placed under arrest and searched. Prior to this incident, the Bethel Police held an outstanding warrant for Stavola for burglary and larceny. During the search, heroin was also found on his person. 

Stavola was held on $2,500 and $500 bond (for the separate charges) and was charged with possession of a narcotic, burglary in the third degree and larceny in the fifth degree. He is scheduled for arraignment on Monday.

Officer Whaley and Sgt. Libertini were the arresting officers in this case.

Bethel man arrested after domestic disturbance
At 12:22 p.m. Friday, the Bethel Police were called to another private residence on Midway Drive "regarding a domestic disturbance" and Jonathan Brynes, 18 of Midway Drive in Bethel, was arrested as a result.

Brynes was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with police. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Monday.
