Reminder: Annual Scotty Fund Town Picnic is Sept. 12 to Benefit Kids with Cancer

The Scotty Fund Town Picnic will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on the front lawn of the Bethel Municipal Center, 1 School Street, Bethel.

The non-profit organization is named for Scotty Anderson, who lost his life at the age of 3 to cancer. Scotty’s parents, Linda and Mark Anderson, founded the non-profit organization in honor of their son as a way for his memory to live on. Grant money is given to children for medical expenses, transportation and other costs. Additional support the organization provides include cooking meals, providing child care, running errands and grocery shopping.

Bouncy houses, pony rides, a dunk tank and many other kid-friendly activities will entertained children and families alike and help to raise money for children affected by cancer. The Scotty Fund provides financial and family support to children with life threatening or critical illness in Bethel and surrounding areas.

Admission to the annual picnic is $7 which includes all rides, games, pony rides, rides contests and entertainment. Food, drinks and baked goods are also available to purchase.
