Ridgefield Man Offers to Double Reward for Family's Stolen Fishing Tackle Box

The reward is for a box stolen over the weekend that has great sentimental value to the family.

The reward for returning a fishing tackle box stolen from Squantz Pond over the weekend has been doubled, the News Times reports.

According to the paper, Kathleen Jowdy’s family initially offered a $200 reward. It belongs to Kathleen Jowdy’s 20-year-old son Ryan, who received the box as a gift from his grandfather.

A Ridgefield resident, Tony Palmer has offered to double the reward and make it $400, the paper reports. Palmer is also a fisher and a father, Jowdy told the News Times.
