• Bok makes history as first girl in local BRWS (timesobserver.com) — A youth baseball team from Bethel capped its Babe Ruth World Series run with a 10-0 win over Woodlands, Washington, in Jamestown, New York. That game also marked history, as Woodlands pitcher Karlie Bok became the first girl ever to play in Jamestown's Babe Ruth World Series, impressing crowds despite her team's loss.
