A memorial service for Mr. Alling will be held in the spring at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bethel.

Robert Donald Alling Sr., 88, of Bethel, beloved husband of Ursula “Sue” passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 31, 2015.
Besides his wife of 70 years he is survived by his three children, Robert Jr (Roberta) of Ledyard, Nancy of Southbury and Douglas (Jacqueline) of Mt Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
His family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Glen Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and Hospice.
There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. A memorial service will be held in the spring at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Bethel. Green Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
