Obituary: Rosmarie Pond, 82, Of Bethel

BETHEL, CT — Rosmarie Pond, 82, entered into eternal life on July 12, 2022. She predeceased by her husband, Francis E. Pond.

Rosmarie came to this country in 1967 as a single mother with her children. She started in New York, where she made her home and found a job with Avon. In 1981 she and her husband moved to Bethel, where she resided for forty-one years. While living in Bethel, she became a US Citizen, and she worked Boehringer Pharmaceutical and then for J.C. Penney.

She is survived by her children: Michael Sosser and wife Ronnie, Bernice Schlemmer whom she resided with, Almeda Standt, Frank Conklin and his wife Audra; stepdaughters: Susan Freiji and her family, Mandy Houghton and her family; grandchildren: David Sosser and wife Amber,
Steffany Schlemmer and her partner Amy, Caitlin Ribeiro, Michael Sosser and wife Korym, Michele Urena and husband Jonathan, Sophia Conklin, Frank Conklin Jr., Robert and Lucas Standt; also the family dog, Buster.

Rose enjoyed bowling with the Seniors before her health began to deteriorate in 2021. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her family.
She will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
