“The people of Bethel and Danbury want and need leaders who can work across the aisle to bring them results,” Allie-Brennan said. “I believe in finding common ground and making connections, not exploiting divisions. I am proud of my record of doing just that. The people of the 2nd district want answers and solutions, not more partisan rancor and the type of divisiveness that continues to plague our nation. My first two terms have shown my willingness to embrace different ideas and perspectives and to buck my party when necessary. I think that courage has earned me the trust of colleagues on both sides, and I look forward to continuing in that manner in my next term.”
Due to redistricting completed after the 2020 census, the 2nd Assembly District will look a little different this year. The boundaries further encompass portions of Bethel and Danbury, with the loss of Redding and Newtown.
