Teen Hospitalized After Crashing Into Bethel Man's Mack Truck

A 16-year-old female driver was hospitalized after crashing into a truck driven by an elderly Bethel man on Monday.

BETHEL, CT-- According to a Wilton Police Department report, a 16-year-old female driver was hospitalized after a crash on Monday.

Police said the female driver of a 2003 Land Cruiser believed she had more time to make a left turn onto Grumman Hill Road from Route 7 when she collided with a 1999 Mack Truck driven by a 79-year-old Bethel man.

According to the report, the driver was issued an infraction for failure to yield to oncoming traffic. She was taken to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation. The other driver, Robert Krokovich, of Bethel, was not injured.

The driver who caused the crash was not identified due to her age.
