Town Of Bethel Calls A Special Town Meeting On Dec. 5
A proposed water rate increase, changes to the transfer station fee schedule, and the sale of property in Clarke Park will be on the table.
BETHEL, CT — The Town of Bethel has called a special town meeting on Dec. 5.
The meeting will be held at Town Hall in Meeting Room A, and will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a vote on the sale of 20 Trowbridge Drive in Francis J Clarke Park.
At 6:40 p.m., the discussion will shift to changes to the Transfer Station fee schedule that will charge $0.25 per pound for furniture items, charge a fee between $25.00 and $35.00 for the disposal of couches, and set the food scrap drop-off fee at $1.00.

At 6:50 p.m., there will be a hearing regarding a proposed water rate increase for Bethel Water Department customers of 8.5 percent per year for Fiscal Year 2025 through Fiscal Year 2029.
