Two Arrested After Planning to Shoot Pellet Rifle

At 1:28 a.m. Sunday morning, Bethel police officers were dispatched to The Summit townhouse complex on Apollo Road after reports of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found a van and its occupants Jose Carlos Pinto, 30 of Bridgeport, and Daniel Lima, 23 of Bridgeport, with "an air soft pellet rifle." After an investigation, it was "revealed they had come to the property with plans to shoot the pellet rifle."

Pinto and Lima were arrested for criminal trespass in the third degree and are scheduled to appear in court on May 10.
