When I die and go to Hell, the only vacation option will be a cruise. Probably one rife with rotovirus. Or whatever that bug is called that wipes out entire cruises. Tonight, "CEO Kevin Sheenan is asked to lead nearly 1,000 party-goers in a line dance while working under cover."

Masterpiece Classic, 9 p.m., PBS (check listings)
I was up with the folks in Massachusetts over Christmas, 9,000 inches of snow, and my old Dad and I watched a very sweet movie on Masterpiece Classic. They are pretty good. Very British, of course. This one involves "Rudyard Kipling's son, Jack, joins the Irish Guard at the outset of World War I, triggering family conflict and presaging tragedy." So it might not be as happy-go-lucky as the one we watched, but check it out.

Desperate Housewives, 9 p.m., ABC
So, maybe you went all crazy on Dec. 31 or Jan. 1 and vowed to watch less TV. Which, you know, is nuts. But even if you did, let me just tell you that the place to come to live vicariously is right here, your old friend What's On Tonight. You will stay up to date and be able to sound knowledgeable in the locker room with your workout buddies (that's the other resolution you made, right?). Tonight, "Susan fights for her life after being trampled by the horde of rioters; Paul Young's fate is revealed; Keith is surprised when Orson shows up at Bree's, unannounced; Gaby struggles with ridding all traces of Grace from her life."
