Roger Ball will play with a stellar quintet of musicians for a night of jazz with a little slice of funk at Pizzeria Lauretano in Bethel.

BETHEL, CT -- Pick up the pizzas....and “Pick Up The Pieces” while you’re at it this Sunday at Bethel’s hidden gem, Pizzeria Lauretano. The Jazzeria is jam-packed with some amazing talent in the coming weeks.

Average White Band founder Roger Ball brings a stellar quintet for an evening of straight-ahead jazz and a little AWB funk. Jazz standards by Miles Davis, Harold Arlen, Quincy Jones and some original compositions. We’re also pleased to welcome bassist Chris DeAngelis, a member of CT-based funk band Kung Fu.
A native of Scotland, Roger Ball worked with top artists of the day as a session musician in London, arranging and playing for the likes of Elton John, Mama Cass, Bryan Ferry, Roxy Music, and Badfinger, before founding Average White Band in 1971. He co-wrote a total of 43 songs for the band, including the world-wide hit “Pick Up The Pieces.”
