WWII Sergeant, CL&P Engineer, Bethel Health Care Resident William Francis Casey, 96, Passed Away Peacefully
A Mass of Christian Burial followed by full military honors will take place on Friday May 6, 2016.

BETHEL, CT — William Francis Casey, 96, a lifelong resident of Waterbury died peacefully at Bethel Health Care Center, Bethel, CT surrounded by his family, on April 29th.
He was born in Waterbury, February 3rd, 1920, a son of the late Margaret Feely Casey and William Casey. Mr. Casey was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Katherine (Smith) Casey. Bill was a huge sports fan and an avid golfer at East Mountain Golf course. But what he cherished most was the time spent with his family, summer vacations, family dinners and being surrounded by his grandchildren. Bill proudly served as a Sergeant in World War ll. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church for many years, until he moved to Bethel and became a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Newtown.
Mr. Casey was employed by Connecticut Light and Power Company, in the engineering department, for 42 years, until his retirement. He is survived by his children Susan Kociszewski and husband Richard of Watertown; Bill Casey of Hartford; Patricia DeMaida and husband Joseph of Newtown and Bob Casey and his wife Traci of Seattle, Washington. Bill is also survived by his Grandchildren: Kristina Barker and husband Chris; Brian Kociszewski and wife Michelle; Robert Casey and wife Tanya; Brandon Casey and Jordan Casey and his great grandchildren: Christopher Barker, Brian Barker and Tatum Kociszewski. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph.
The Casey family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff and residents at Bethel Health Care and the Cascades Assisted Living Facility for the outstanding care and love they shared with our father. For all their friendship we are forever grateful. We love you Dad and Grampie and will miss your smile.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown Friday May 6, 2016 at 12:00pm. Military honors will follow. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury will be private. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 10:00am to 11:45am at St. Rose of Lima Church.
