257 Metro-North Employees Made More Than $200K Last Year, 9 Top $300K

In 2015, 257 Metro-North Railroad employees made more than $200,000, according to payroll data recently added to the Empire Center for Public Policy’s transparency website, SeeThroughNY.net.

Of the 10 top earners in the Metropolitan Transit Authority, six were Metro-North employees, compared to two at headquarters and two working on the Long Island Railroad.

Three of them were the MTA's top-paid employees, making more than Thomas Prendergast, the chairman of the MTA. He collected a salary of $346,707 last year. Donald M. Pritchett is a model surfacing instructor; Robert M. O'Connell is a track supervisor; and Harry L. Dobson is Supervisor, Structures and Grand Central Terminal.

Of the 7,536 employees listed in the ECPP's database, 4,343 made less than $100,000.
