On Saturday, August 15th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the community is coming together for the Amity Chamber Community Fair, presented by <a href="https://www.xfinity.com/national/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Xfinity</a>.
Hosted by <a href="https://www.crestwoodbridge.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Crest Lincoln of </a><a href="https://www.crestwoodbridge.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Woodbridge</a>, 185 Amity Road, Woodbridge, the dealership is clearing all vehicles from its pristine parking lot to provide an easily accessible, safe venue to park your cars, explore, and get inspired by a marketplace of Amity Chamber businesses and organizations. With <a href="https://flytweed.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN)</a> and <a href="https://7brew.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee</a> as supporting sponsors, the stage is set for a day of innovation, energy, and fun.
Exhibiting companies ranging from physical fitness, chiropractors, free car washes, and crafts, to optometry, non-profit organizations, pickleball, tennis, Tex-Mex, and more, the fair offers something for all ages. Additionally, the Energize CT <a href="https://www.energizect.com/explore-solutions/education-smart-energy-living" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Smart Energy Living Mobile Exhibit</a> will offer interactive displays that demonstrate how energy-efficient and clean technology can enhance comfort, reduce energy use, and minimize environmental impact. The Xfinity Community Engagement Trailer will be front and center, equipped with technology, resources, and interactive experiences. The Xfinity trailer will also be open to the public on Sunday, August 16th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

On Sunday September 27, 2026, the Alzheimer's Association Connecticut Chapter will be sponsoring the 32nd annual Greater New Haven Walk To End Alzheimer's. This event will again be held at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven. There are 80,000 diagnosed persons in the State of Connecticut, and over 100,000 caregivers providing free care. You can register on line using the file attachment below. Form a team or walk alone, but be a support for the diagnosed and the caregivers.

You’re invited to explore the library after dark and enjoy a catered dinner, drinks, live music, and dancing. Wear your best party clothes and help us celebrate a major milestone in the history of the library, and Woodbridge.
