A New Farm Season: Beekeeping, Rock to Rock and Planning Ahead

This Saturday, March 22 at 10:00am marks the beginning of our beekeeping workshops for 2014. This first session - Assembling the Hive - will take place in our renovated Dairy Barn, and be accompanied by a honey tasting with the 2014 American Honey Princess!  Coffee will be served.

We are pleased to be able to host the 2014 American Honey Princess, Elena Hoffman, during her visit to CT this month. Elena is a freshman studying biology at Westchester University in Pennsylvania. Elena helps her father care for and extract honey from their home apiary. During her visit to CT, Elena will also be visiting the state capitol on March 19 for Ag Day, speaking about the importance of honey bees to local agriculture.

Space is still available. RSVP today by emailing us at beekeeping@massarofarm.org, or by calling the farm office: (203) 736-8618.
