The Amity High School softball team has the chance for glory this Friday. After making their way through the tournament, the team faces top-ranked Southington on Friday night. The game begins at 7 p.m. at DeLuca Field on 1000 Main St., Stratford. Coach Bob Purcell led the team to a 20-5 record this season. The Spartans have outscored their opponents 25-9 with victories over Newtown, New Milford, Darien and Westhill. Southington's team has stifled opponents 29-2 so far.
