Christ Church Offers Foundations in Christian Life Course

A highly interesting, understandable, and informative Foundations in the Christian Life course will be offered at Christ Episcopal Church, 526 Amity Rd., Bethany, from February 15 to April 25. Led by the Rev. Dr. E. Bevan Stanley, interim rector, the lively adult-level overview of essential teachings of the Christian faith is open not only to parishioners but also to all interested members of the community.  Both new and seasoned believers who want to learn or think more about their faith are warmly welcomed.

Nine two-hour evenings on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. will focus on one’s relationship with God and being part of a Christian community.  Topics will include theology, the Bible, history, ethics, spirituality, and liturgy. Participants may come to all the sessions, or they may choose those in which they have a particular interest. A syllabus indicating the dates and topics will be available at the first session.

 The cornerstones of Christianity course is ideal for those who have need to update their confirmation preparation to match their adult experience, or for those who are considering coming to the Episcopal Church from another denomination, or for anyone who wants to reflect on any aspect of his faith at an adult level.
