The Christ Episcopal Church, 526 Amity Road, invites you to the observance of 40 days of Lent. Lent at Christ Church is a time of prayer, meditation, self examination, repentance, and reading. The 40 days of Lent are preparation for the joy of Easter Sunday.
Join us on February 22rd, for the Ash Wednesday liturgy which marks the beginning of Lent. The Reverend Dr. E. Bevan Stanley will celebrate at services held at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Come and receive the imposition of ashes as a symbol of mortality and repentance and as a reminder that in Jesus, God walks with us in this mortal life.
As always, there will be three services each Sunday during Lent: traditional services at 8:00 a.m. and 10 a.m. and a creative contemporary service at 5 p.m.
