Milford Police K-9 Team Captures Armed Woodbridge Bank Robbery Suspect in Orange: UPDATE
The armed robbery occurred at a TD Bank Friday morning. Several schools were impacted in Orange.

ORANGE, CT — Orange police say the armed suspect in a Woodbridge bank robbery has been apprehended just before 11 a.m. Friday.
Police say the school lockdowns will be lifted once officers clear the scene.

Police from several departments had been tracking the suspect who fled into Orange Friday morning, which caused one school to go into a lockdown and two others to go into "shelter-in-place" orders, police said.
"The lockdown at Racebrook School will be lifted shortly, as will the 'shelter-in-place' orders for AJHS and Hebrew Day School. These orders will stay in effect until officers complete the investigation and clear the scene," Orange police said.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — As of 10 a.m. Orange Police officers, in conjunction with officers from Woodbridge, Milford and state police are searching for a subject wanted in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Woodbridge, Orange police said.
This person is described as a black male, in his 20s, wearing a black and gold shirt (possibly a Boston Bruins logo on the shirt) with black sweatpants, police said. He is possibly armed with a handgun, police said.
Currently officers are searching the area around Racebrook School, police said. To ensure student and teacher safety, Racebrook School was put into lockdown, and officers have been stationed on-site, police said.
The nearby campuses of Amity Junior High Middle School on Ohman Avenue and the Hebrew Day School on Derby Avenue have been given "shelter-in-place" orders, police said.
Officers currently have a canine team from the Milford Police Department assisting in this search.
The suspect held up a TD Bank in Woodbridge, and Hamden police and a K-9 unit have also joined the chase, according to the Connecticut Post.
