Arrest Made in Prospect Stabbing Case: BREAKING

State Police say they responded to the home Saturday evening and an arrest was soon made.

PROSPECT, CT - State Police announced an arrest in a stabbing case in Prospect Saturday.

State Police said that the accused is Anthony Magnano, 21, of Woodcrest Drive in Prospect, and he was arrested Saturday night and charged with breach of peace, first-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He's held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

State Police said in a news release that at 5:06 p.m. Saturday troopers from Troop I-Bethany, and the Prospect Resident Trooper's Office responded to Woodcrest Drive for a disturbance and a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival troopers found one male victim with stab injuries, State Police said. The male victim was transported to the hospital for the evaluation of non life-threatening injuries.

Troopers searched the area for other victims, but none were located and no other injuries were reported, State Police said.

Troopers initiated an initial investigation. After speaking with witnesses and the victim a suspect was developed and then charged.
