MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
Monday, NOVEMBER 2, 2020
7:00 P.M.
OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH (CENTER ROAD)

The Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption invites all who have lost a loved one this past year to attend Mass on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. for the repose of their souls and the consolation of those who are grieving. The Book of Remembrance will remain the sanctuary for
the month of November. The 9:00 A.M. Mass on that day will be celebrated for All Souls and the 7:00 P.M. Mass will be celebrated for All Souls and specifically for those who have died from our parish this past year. Both Masses will be celebrated at the Center Road church.

Our devotion to the faithful departed goes back to the first century. The early Christians would
gather regularly at the burial place of their loved ones to pray and celebrate Holy Mass for the
repose of their souls. We continue this devotion because we continue to love them and profess
our faith in the power of prayer, the Holy Mass, and the power of Christ’s Resurrection.
