Bethany Boys Brawl At High School, Driver Arrested For Stolen Marker Plates

, Two male juveniles from Bethany were involved in a fracas outside the high school on Sept. 15. Police said the fistfight between the pair, one born in 1995 and the other in 1997, started when one sent the other an insulting text message. Both boys received juvenile summonses, were charged with Assault in the 3^rd, released to the custody of their parents and given a court date of Sept 27.

On Sept. 25, Debra Smith, 19, of South Leonard Street, was stopped by police at Litchfield Turnpike and Downs Road. She was charged with improper use of marker plates, having no insurance, operating without a license, and larceny 6^th when it was discovered her marker plates were stolen.
