Bethany Volunteer Firefighters Video Tribute

The attached video was compiled by Firefighter Mike Katzmark for the annual Officers' Installation Dinner on Saturday.

Bethany's Fire Department is comprised of 100% volunteers.

Its members have regular jobs and they are highly trained just like paid firefighters.

The difference is, they do not work in shifts, they are on call 24/7 responding to accidents, fires, flooded basements, and other emergencies at a moments notice in all kinds of weather at all hours of the day or night.

Here is a video presentation that was made for last weekend's Officer's Installation Dinner that took place at the firehouse. It is dedicated to the late Dave Gunn.

This year, the Bethany volunteers did not have to leave their dinner to respond to any calls, but Woodbridge's Asst. Chief Chris Parietti had to take off for a while for a reported brush fire off of Litchfield Turnpike.
