Bethany Woman Charged With DUI In Naugatuck: Police

Police said they received a report of an erratic driver, which led to charges.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police received a phone call about an erratic driver, which led to the arrest of a Bethany woman on a DUI charge, police said. At 6:55 p.m. on Oct. 27, a police officer responded to New Haven Road for a report of an erratic driver, police said.

The officers located Andrea Richard, 41, of Carrington Road, and conducted a motor vehicle investigation on South Main Street, police said.

During the investigation it was determined that Richard was driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. She was given a court date of Nov. 9 and is charged with DUI and failure to drive in proper lane.
