Bethany-Woodbridge Weekend Guide: A Cultural Celebration And Fall Farm Fun

WOODBRIDGE, CT — Woodbridge throws its biggest community celebration of the year on Saturday, and Bethany answers with a nearly 260-year-old farm's fall pumpkin patch for anyone who wants to spend the weekend outdoors. Beyond that, both towns are genuinely quiet.

• Woodbridge Like Me Day — Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The town's sixth annual celebration of its diversity fills the Green with a main-stage lineup (the Beecher Road School Band, a Chinese Children's Choir, Bollywood dance, a world champion Taekwondo demonstration), a chalk art festival along Meetinghouse Lane, a noon Runway Show of local residents, yoga and face painting, plus food trucks including Ay! • Fall Fun at Clover Nook Farm — Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A ninth-generation, nearly 260-year-old family farm opens its U-pick pumpkin patch for the season, alongside apple cider, mums, corn stalk bundles and other fall decorations.
