On Tuesday, November 10 @ 7pm, Connecticut author Emery “Ted” Roth will share his new book “Brass Valley: The Fall of an American Industry” with us. He will share his experiences and discoveries made while writing the book. Once much of Connecticut lived by machine culture, as our industrial centers paved the way to a robust middle class. Within that culture, the Naugatuck River Valley became the world center for brass manufacturing. Brass Valley tells the story of the last working brass mill, the men, and the machinery used to cast, extrude, and process the metal. It talks about how the brass valley came to be and how it changed Connecticut.
This program will be held in the Woodbridge Town Library Meeting Room. The library is located at 10 Newton Road, Woodbridge, CT.
