Update: Police Identify 'Untimely Death' Victim
State Police say they found the deceased early Sunday morning.

Update: The deceased has been identifed as Joel Suero, 27, of Whalley Avenue in New Haven.
Original story: State Police detectives from Central District Major Crime (CDMC) are currently investigating an untimely death located on Wooding Hill Road in Bethany.
On November 15 at 4:30 a.m. Troopers from Troop I-Bethany were called to Wooding Hill Road for a reported untimely death.

Upon arrival Troopers located the deceased, secured the scene, and checked the area for other victims. No other victims were located. CDMC detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) also responded to the scene and will assist in the investigation. The OCME will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine cause and manner of death.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending confirmation of positive identity and next of kin notification.
This is an active, on-going investigation. Police didn’t release details regarding the circumstances surrounding the death.
