Bunny Village Learning Center Helps Essential Workers
Thank you to all of the daycare teachers for their hard work and dedication during this pandemic.
Bethany, CT - The Bunny Village Learning Center in Bethany has remained opened in order to allow essential workers to continue doing their important work.
The center's director Melissa Swan reached out to Bethwood Patch to recognize her teachers for their dedication. " I thought it would be a positive way to show thanks to my teachers for all of their hard work and dedication during this pandemic, as they have been coming into work and putting their lives at risk for the children of essential families. With all the negative news it would be so nice to read something uplifting," wrote Mrs. Swan.
Bunny Village Learning Center is located on Village Lane in Bethany. The center currently has 15 children of essential working families and about eight staff who have been working hard continuously throughout the pandemic.

The dedicated staff are wearing masks each day to keep the children as safe as possible; they are bleaching the toys and all other equipment daily.
"Despite how different things are, my staff have come in each day with a smile ready to work with each child. They have also been continuing with the children’s education and ensuring they keep up with their daily routine," adds Mrs. Swan.

The teachers are also checking the children’s temperatures, keeping group sizes small, and requiring strict hand washing of everyone.
"As much as we should recognize doctors and nurses, child care workers shouldn’t be forgotten about as they are also putting themselves at risk and ensuring those essential workers can go to work each day," concludes their proud supervisor.
