Rosemary J Rarick (McMahon), 81, of Hamden CT peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, in Hospice Surrounded by her family.Rosemary was born on August 2, 1944, in Bronxville, NY to the late William and Teresa McMahon.Rosemary is predeceased by her husband of 62 years Lawrence E. Rarick, Son, Lawrence W. Rarick formerly of Hamden, CT and Sister, Margaret Kovac of Stamford, CT.&nbsp;Rosemary is survived by her Daughter Theresa Rarick of Hamden, CT, Son William V. Rarick, his Wife Paola Rarick and Granddaughter Isabella Rarick Sister, Margaret Kovac of, Daughter-In-Law Michelle Rarick, Grandson Lawrence F. Rarick and Granddaughter Avery Rarick of Hamden, CT, Brother William McMahon, of FL, and many cousins, nieces and nephews that she so much loved and adored.Rosemary attended Grammer School and High School in Port Chester, NY&nbsp;Rosemary worked as an Office Manager at a variety of doctors’ offices in Norwalk, CT before her retirement.&nbsp;Rosemary loved to spend time with her family and watching Bella on stage as a dancer, singer and actress, Larry pitching from the mound on the baseball diamond or throwing the hoops on the basketball court and Avery’s humor during long conversations that left her in stitches with laughter.Rosemary loved spending time with family and friends at her cherished condo in Newport, RI for many decades, not only sharing her hospitality, but for her knowledge of the best places to shop and eat.&nbsp;Rosemary’s Family and Friends may attend a Memorial Mass at St. Mary’s Church, 731 Main St Branford, CT on Tuesday, May 26th at 11:00 AM. There will be a Coffee &amp; Desert Recaption Concluding Mass; please confirm to Theresa or Bill if you are able to attend. Thank you.

The United Church of Christ Southbury

UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Also featuring raffle prizes, Kids Zone bouncy house, games and activities, and 40 different vendors and artisans for interested shoppers. 
We encourage all attendees to take advantage of the FREE PARKING SHUTTLE from 22 Old Waterbury Rd (only 500 yards away).

The 69th Annual Strawberry Festival will be held of Friday, June 12th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the Woodbridge First Church of Christ Green. Please bring your family and friends and join us! As always, Boy Scout Troop 907 will be grilling the main meal.&nbsp; Michelle Urban will lead children and adults in singing and there will be activities for the children, including a Bounce House.

Darling House Museum

The Amity and Woodbridge Historical Society's Witness Stones project will conclude with a stone laying dedication and ceremony on the grounds of the Darling Farmstead and History Museum. This free event will honor and shed light on the lives of the enslaved people who lived at the Darling House. We will be joined by sixth-graders from Beecher Road school who have been studying this topic, as well as other dignitaries.
