Citizen's Report Leads to Arrest of DUI Driver: Woodbridge PD
The arrest occurred last month, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, CT — A Hamden man is accused of driving while under the influence in Woodbridge, police said. Last month, police responded to the area of Litchfield Turnpike for a citizen's report concerning an erratic driver, Paul M. Ferranti, 59, of Hamden, policed said.
When police arrived they found a vehicle matching the caller’s description of the erratic driver, police said. Upon conducting a motor vehicle stop the vehicle’s operator, Ferranti, was suspected of operating his vehicle while under the influence, police said.
Ferranti failed field sobriety tests performed at the scene and was placed under arrest, police said. Ferranti was transported to the Woodbridge Police Department where he was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane.
