Continued Training Keeps Volunteer Firefighters on Top of Their Game
More than a dozen Woodbridge Volunteer Firefighters, including Chief Sean Rowland and Asst. Chief Chris Parietti took a two-day refresher course on suppressant foams.
Woodbridge Volunteer firefighters are not only dedicated to serving their community, but also to keeping up with the latest technology, training and taking refresher courses on proven firefighting methods.
Last Friday evening, more than a dozen firefighters underwent about 4.5 hours of classroom training regarding compressed air foam, led by Lou DeRossi.
On Saturday, they worked for 8 hours from morning into the late afternoon using the firetruck and practicing their skills using different foam mixtures for a variety of scenarios.
