Apr. 21 at 10:30 a.m., Woodbridge police pulled over a driver at the intersection of Ansonia and Old Barnabus Roads after he was spotted driving erratically and almost hit a police officer working a private duty job. Richard Williams of Malloy Road, West Haven, failed a field sobriety test and was transported to police headquarters where he was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and operating under suspension. During their check on Williams, police also found he was wanted on a warrant for violation of probation.
Williams could not post his $10,000 bond, and police transported him to his court date on Apr. 25.
