Ear to the Ground

I'd like to introduce myself to Bethany residents.  My name is Fran Doba.  Full Disclosure:  I am a registered Democrat, a resident of Bethany since 1997 and previously served on the Zoning Board of Appeals as an alternate for the last two years until I was defeated in the May election.  I also currently serve on the Democratic Town Committee as the first vice-chair. 

I and a few of my like-minded associates are currently undertaking an initiative to video tape Bethany Board of Selectmen, Finance and Planning & Zoning meetings in order to sustain the energy that erupted this spring.  Eventually, we will air all the board meetings.  I will also summarize the agendas and list the voting records of our elected board members. 

Over the next few weeks, we will air these meetings, unedited, gavel to gavel, not only on You Tube but also on Comcast Public Access TV-Channel 10.  We are working with Comcast to come up with a schedule for airing these segments so our residents can tune in to see what their elected officials are working on and how they are voting. Stay tuned and 'watch this space!'
