Escaped Woodbridge Emu Causes Scene in Seymour
The emu along with three others escaped from a farm.

Those passing through parts of Seymour Thursday got to see an emu on the lam.
The emu along with three others escaped from a farm on Seymour and Rock Hill roads Tuesday in Woodbridge, according to WTNH.
Two emus were caught and another one was spotted in Beacon Falls. Seymour Police were unable to detain the emu Wednesday night.

It doesn’t sound like there is any foul play on the part of the owner, who is working with police to round up the remaining emus.
The emu is the second-largest living bird by height behind the ostrich. They can grow to be more than 6-feet-tall and can sprint at speeds up to 30 mph.
