Author of 'Golf in America' to discuss 'Golf and American Democracy'

George Kirsch, author of "Golf in America," will deliver the lecture, "Golf and American Democracy," at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the Clarice L. Buckman Theater on the Mount Carmel Campus.

Kirsch, who is a history professor at Manhattan College, will discuss women and African-Americans participation in golf and the growth of municipal golf courses in America. Kirsch holds a doctorate and master's degree in history from Columbia University.
